On April 22, 2023, at approximately 12:10 a.m., 53-year-old Laron Sylvester "Ron" Steward Sr. was found deceased in a parked vehicle in the 5000 block of Claxton Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri. He had sustained gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department initiated a homicide investigation into Steward's death. As of the latest available information, detectives have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests
