On May 21, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., 27-year-old Kevin Anderson of Indianapolis was found with a gunshot wound to the chest in a stairwell at America's Best Value Inn, located at 1100 Lumiere Place Boulevard in downtown St. Louis. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
