On July 3, 2023, a tragic incident unfolded in Saint Ann, Missouri, resulting in the deaths of 14-year-old Kyrien Stevenson, his mother, 30-year-old Seychelle Schaumburg, and his 5-year-old sister, Ushara. The perpetrator, identified as 34-year-old Coleman McIlvain, was Seychelle's boyfriend. He fatally shot Seychelle and her two children before turning the gun on himself. A 9-year-old girl, another of Seychelle's children, survived the attack despite sustaining a gunshot wound to her hand.
