On December 15, 2023, Terrence Harris, a 52-year-old resident of Springfield, Illinois, was found deceased near North 3rd Street and Belmont Avenue. The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, confirmed that Harris died from a gunshot wound, and the Springfield Police Department is treating the case as a homicide.
