On the evening of April 13, 2024, a violent altercation erupted at Wilbur Young Park in Blue Springs, Missouri, resulting in the tragic death of 20-year-old Karmello Matlock. Police officers were dispatched to the scene at 1100 Southeast Adams Dairy Parkway just after 10:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
