Spatri Warner, a 61-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the Hyde Park neighborhood of north St. Louis. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., leaving the community shaken. Emergency responders were dispatched to the 3900 block of North 11th Street, where they discovered Warner lying in the street.
Upon their arrival, medical personnel assessed his condition and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Warner, who resided in the 4000 block of North Grand Boulevard, had been gunned down in an act of violence that cut his life short. The motive for the shooting and the circumstances leading up to it have not been publicly released by authorities.
As of late 2024, no arrests have been made in connection with the homicide of Spatri Warner. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division is actively investigating the case and has appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the identification and apprehension of a suspect or suspects. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to piece together the events of that fatal evening.
