In Kansas City, Missouri, on September 18, 2024, a young Black man named Jimmy Bowman, 22, was tragically killed in a double homicide that also claimed the life of a 15-year-old. The incident, which cut short the lives of two individuals, unfolded in the Northeast area of the city, prompting a thorough police investigation into the violent act.
The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Austin C. Stiles, a teenager from Kansas City, Kansas.
In a significant development in the case, Stiles pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree felony murder and two counts of armed criminal action for his role in the fatal shootings of Bowman and the teenager.
