In a tragic incident on the night of June 12, 2023, a 27-year-old woman, Keyanna Brown, was fatally shot in Bayonne, New Jersey. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office reported that the shooting took place inside an apartment located at 331 Avenue E. Bayonne Police received a 911 call about the shooting at approximately 11:35 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Keyanna Brown with a gunshot wound to her upper body. She was pronounced dead at the scene just after midnight on June 13, 2023.
