In the early morning hours of July 5, 2023, a burst of gunfire shattered the post-holiday calm in a Paterson, New Jersey neighborhood, leaving two men dead, including 17-year-old Issaih Rios. The fatal shooting occurred around 2:40 a.m. near the intersection of Jersey and Oliver streets. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Rios and a 26-year-old man, both from Paterson, with multiple gunshot wounds.
