On October 12, 2023, at approximately 1:16 a.m., Paterson police responded to reports of a shooting near Summer Street and Hamilton Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 47-year-old Paterson resident, Adalberto Roman, with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
