On December 5, 2023, 21-year-old Tijere K. Jackson from Woodbury, New Jersey, was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the evening near the intersection of Broad Street and Carpenter Street. Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported Jackson to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
