On January 17, 2024, authorities discovered the bodies of 51-year-old Ruben S. Alarcon, his wife Andrea Alarcon, aged 42, and their two young daughters, Scarlett, 9, and Emma, 6, in their Union, New Jersey home. Each family member had suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Investigations determined that Andrea Alarcon fatally shot her husband and daughters before taking her own life. The murder weapon was found near her body.
