On May 27, 2023, the life of 34-year-old Tewana Markye' Williams was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Petersburg, Virginia. Williams, a mother and a licensed cosmetologist, was found by police officers who were responding to a report of shots fired at a residence on Talley Avenue at approximately 8:54 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. The incident is being investigated as a domestic homicide.
