On February 19, 2024, 18-year-old Jontay Alonzo Bennett was fatally shot at his residence in the 3200 block of Stony Valley Drive in Henrico County, Virginia. Emergency responders arrived at approximately 8:44 a.m. and transported Bennett to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
During the investigation, authorities identified 21-year-old Victor Lamar Douglas as the suspect. Douglas was apprehended later that day during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Henrico County.
