In the small community of Hurt, Virginia, the life of 28-year-old Jimmy Dee Hardwick was cut short on the evening of Thursday, May 30, 2024. That night, the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office received a call reporting a shooting incident in the 1600 block of Shula Drive.
