On August 28, 2024, at approximately 4:33 a.m., deputies from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of an argument in the 21000 block of Ridgetop Circle in Sterling, Virginia. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Mijal Conejero-Romera of Sterling and 22-year-old Diego Alexander Woollett of Arlington suffering from gunshot wounds near a fence separating an apartment complex from an office parking lot.
