Vivian A. Wampler, aged 53, tragically lost her life on April 10, 2022, in Norton, Virginia. The incident was a devastating double murder-suicide that also claimed the life of her mother, Elizabeth A. Sturgill, aged 81. The assailant was identified as Bryan C. Wampler, Vivian's husband, who subsequently took his own life. The bodies of Vivian and her mother were discovered inside their home, located near the Kentucky border, shortly after law enforcement was alerted to the unfolding violence.
