On May 3, 2023, 18-year-old De'Andre X. Tommie was found deceased in his vehicle near a residence on Roseville Road in Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina. The Charleston County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting around 6:30 a.m., discovering Tommie with multiple gunshot wounds. Neighbors later reported hearing gunfire overnight but had not alerted authorities at the time.
