On May 11, 2023, 48-year-old Oscar Rubio was found dead in his home on Green Acres Drive Extension in Ware Shoals, South Carolina. Discovered by his girlfriend, Rubio had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and two additional gunshot wounds to the chest. Evidence at the scene indicated a struggle, with blood found on the porch and front yard, suggesting that his body had been dragged inside after the shooting.
