On a Tuesday morning in Florence, South Carolina, the life of Bobby Antoine McKenzie, a 36-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On September 12, 2023, McKenzie was discovered inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel on Radio Drive, suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency responders rushed him to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.

The investigation into the death of McKenzie, who was from the New Zion community, quickly led to arrests. Authorities charg ...
