In the early evening of December 28, 2019, the life of 19-year-old Christopher Alendus Gibson was tragically cut short on Ervin Court in Florence, South Carolina. Responding to reports of a shooting, law enforcement officers arrived to find Gibson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
The Florence County Coroner later confirmed that the cause of death was the result of the shooting.
Born in Florence County on May 9, 2000, Christopher was the son of Beverly and Gregory Gibson. His sudden and violent death sent ripples of grief and shock through his family and the wider community. The Florence Police Department immediately launched an investigation into the homicide, diligently working to piece together the events of that fateful evening and identify those responsible for the young man's death.

Trevon Davion Wilson and Tylik Ahmed Bennett-Parker were taken into custody in connection with Christopher Gibson's murder. The arrests, made with the assistance of the Florence County Sheriff's Office, were carried out without incident. Both suspects were subsequently booked into the Florence County Detention Center to await legal proceedings.
