In the quiet community of Aiken, South Carolina, the life of 46-year-old Kenneth Joseph Jones was abruptly ended on Halloween morning, October 31, 2023. A Black male, Jones was found shot multiple times in the front yard of an abandoned home near the intersection of Sumter Street and Sundy Avenue. The Aiken Department of Public Safety responded to a call about the shooting at approximately 9:45 a.m. and discovered Jones lying on the ground.
