On January 21, 2024, a tragic hunting accident claimed the life of 13-year-old Cameron Conner near Santee, South Carolina. The incident occurred on private property in Orangeburg County, approximately 65 miles northwest of Charleston. Cameron, an eighth-grader at Dorchester Academy, was out squirrel hunting with his best friend when the accident took place.
