On June 5, 2021, 27-year-old Monterio D. "Boo Boo" Shumpert was found shot to death inside his home on Martin Luther King Road in Fulton, Mississippi. Born on May 4, 1994, to Chris and Vickie Shumpert, Monterio was a graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School and a devoted Miami Heat fan.
