On February 9, 2024, 29-year-old Brandon Gregory Cobbs Jr. was fatally shot at the Saint James at Goose Creek apartment complex on Channing Way in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Responding to a 911 call reporting a man with a gunshot wound to the head on her front porch, police arrived to find Cobbs unresponsive; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
