On March 2, 2024, 35-year-old Ricky Martin Jr. of Sumter, South Carolina, was fatally shot multiple times on May Street in Johnston, South Carolina. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) led the investigation into his death, resulting in several arrests.
