On March 17, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., 24-year-old Columbia resident Nigel McFarland was fatally shot at the Harbison Gardens Apartments, located at 401 Columbiana Drive. Responding officers from the Columbia Police Department found McFarland deceased at the scene.
The Richland County Coroner, Naida Rutherford, confirmed McFarland's identity and noted that he succumbed to gunshot wounds. The Columbia Police Department described the incident as isolated and initiated an investigat ...Read More
