In the late afternoon of June 8, 2024, emergency responders were called to the Hampton Green and Hampton Crest Apartments on Palmetto Lane in Anderson, South Carolina, following reports of gunfire. There, they found 28-year-old Ranson Tyree Strong, a Black/African American male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
