In the early morning hours of June 22, 2024, the life of 40-year-old Quinton Banks, a male from Denmark, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. He was found fatally shot in the parking lot of the Edisto Apartments on White Lane, a place also known to locals as the White Lane Apartments. The quiet of the small city of Denmark, with a population of about 3,000, was shattered by this act of violence.
The Denmark Police Department initially responded to the scene and subsequently
requested the assistance of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to lead the homicide investigation. As of March 2025, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting. The investigation into the death of Quinton Banks remains ongoing.
In an effort to generate new leads, SLED has reached out to the public for assistance. They are urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and have offered a cash reward for any tips that lead to an arrest. Investigators are hopeful that someone in the community may hold the key to bringing closure to the family of Quinton Banks and ensuring that justice is served.
