On July 9, 2024, 22-year-old Xavier "Zay" Ja'Quan Hopkins was tragically shot and killed in Columbia, South Carolina. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Hickory Ridge Drive, where deputies discovered Hopkins and another 22-year-old victim, Dominic Goodwin, deceased inside a vehicle.
