In the quiet community of Central, South Carolina, the life of Thomas Emory Durham, a 57-year-old male, was abruptly ended in a burst of violence. On the night of Friday, July 20, 2024, deputies from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence at 186 Knollview Road following a 911 call. Upon their arrival at approximately 11:25 pm, they discovered Durham suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical services treated him at the scene before he was airlifted to
Greenville Memorial Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Thomas Emory Durham succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024. The incident was quickly ruled a homicide, prompting an investigation by both the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and the county coroner's office.
The investigation led detectives to a suspect, Tyler Dan Bolick. Bolick was subsequently arrested and is facing multiple charges in connection with Durham's death.
