On July 20, 2024, at approximately 11:25 p.m., deputies from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call at 186 Knollview Road in Central, South Carolina. Upon arrival, they found 57-year-old Thomas Emory Durham inside his residence with a gunshot wound. Durham was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
