In the early morning hours of August 6, 2024, the quiet of the Riverdale community in Dillon County, South Carolina, was shattered. Just after midnight, deputies responded to a call on Joe Drive concerning a gunshot victim. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of 22-year-old Jaheem Maurice Farmer, a Black/African American male who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
