In the spring of 1964, a dark chapter in Mississippi's history was written with the abduction and murder of two 19-year-old Black men, Charles Eddie Moore and his friend, Henry Hezekiah Dee. On May 2nd of that year, the two were hitchhiking near the town of Meadville when they were targeted by members of the Ku Klux Klan.
