On February 18, 2023, Davao Thomas was shot multiple times in a tragic incident that occurred in Tunica County, Mississippi. Witnesses reported seeing Korea T. McKay as the individual responsible for the shooting. Following the incident, law enforcement quickly responded and found Thomas suffering from severe gunshot wounds; he was subsequently transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
