On April 7, 2023, Aareonia Thompson, a 14-year-old girl from Cleveland, Mississippi, tragically lost her life after being shot in the head. The incident occurred around 11:10 PM at an apartment complex located at 900 White Street, Building 7C. When deputies from the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene, they found Thompson with a single gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
