In the small town of Alligator, Mississippi, a burst of violence on the afternoon of May 31, 2023, ended the life of 23-year-old Antwon Scott. A Black male, Scott was at an apartment complex on Burchfield Road around noon when he was shot multiple times. The severity of his injuries required him to be airlifted to a hospital in Memphis for urgent medical care. Despite the efforts to save him, Antwon Scott succumbed to his wounds during the flight.
