On June 22, 2023, at approximately 8:26 p.m., a tragic incident occurred at Pinebrook Apartments, located at 107 Pine Knoll Drive in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The Ridgeland Police Department received a report of a shooting at the apartment complex. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the playground area near the pool, where they discovered 22-year-old Kyeon Terrell Lyles lying unconscious on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest.
