In the summer of 2023, a young man's life was tragically cut short in Courtland, Mississippi, during what should have been a joyous celebration. Eighteen-year-old Jordan Henderson, a recent graduate of South Panola High School with plans for college, was identified as the male victim. He was fatally shot at a large outdoor block party on Shiloh Road in Panola County in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 23, 2023.
