On September 18, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Lexus Ball, a mother of three from Pinola, Mississippi. The shooting took place at 6:28 a.m. at 124 Beasley Road, following an altercation between Ball and 25-year-old Clavarzea Thomas of Hazlehurst.
