In the early morning hours of September 18, 2023, a dispute in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, turned fatal, claiming the life of 26-year-old Lexus Ball, a mother of three from the nearby town of Pinola. The incident unfolded at approximately 6:28 a.m. at a residence on Beasley Road. An altercation between Ball and 25-year-old Clavarzea Thomas of Hazlehurst escalated, tragically ending when Thomas allegedly shot Ball in the head.
