In the early morning hours of New Year's Day 2024, the life of 31-year-old Deshara Shira Smith was tragically cut short in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Officers responded to a call regarding a shooting at a residence on Lynn Street shortly after 3 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ms. Smith deceased on the kitchen floor, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
