In the early morning hours of January 8, 2024, the life of 24-year-old Tremya Chermaine Darden of Okolona, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. Responding to a call about a shooting shortly before 4 a.m. at the Lazy Acres Trailer Park on Lesa Avenue in Verona, police discovered Darden with a gunshot wound to her head. She was rushed to a hospital in Tupelo, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
