In the late hours of a Saturday night in Greenville, Mississippi, the city marked its first homicide of the year. On January 13, 2024, in the 400 block of North Edison, gunfire erupted, leaving two men struck. Responding to the call at approximately 11:30 p.m., police officers discovered 38-year-old Marcus Jones of Greenville with fatal injuries.
