On a tragic Saturday morning, May 18, 2024, the life of 52-year-old Ronnie Daniel Bean of Mantee, Mississippi, was cut short. His body was discovered on the side of CCC Line Road in Clay County, the victim of what law enforcement has described as a homicide. An autopsy later confirmed that Bean had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the Clay County Sheriff, an altercation that began inside the club is believed to have escalated, leading to the fatal shooting. Witnesses reported a harrowing scene, stating that Bean was pursued in his vehicle after leaving the nightclub. During the chase, multiple shots were fired at his car, causing him to run off the road. Bean then exited his vehicle and collapsed on the roadside, where he succumbed to his injuries. Within days of the incident, authorities announced the arrests of three suspects in connection with the murder of Ronnie Daniel Bean. Stederic L. Griffis, 24, was charged with murder, and his bond was set at $750,000. A second suspect, 26-year-old Jaleel K. Moye, faced charges of murder, shooting into a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The third individual taken into custody was 28-year-old Aljuwuan Tallie, who was charged with murder, shooting into a motor vehicle, and tampering with physical evidence. Both Moye's and Tallie's bonds were set at $780,000. All three men were being held at the Clay County Detention Center.
