In the late morning of Tuesday, May 28, 2024, gunfire shattered the peace at the Goodhaven Apartments in Goodman, Mississippi. When the violence subsided, 24-year-old Robreecus Kitchens, a male, had been shot and killed. The incident, which occurred around 11 a.m., marked a grim milestone for Holmes County, as it was the second homicide in the area within a 48-hour span.
