Emma Mae Horton, aged 38, tragically lost her life on September 8, 2000, in Goodman, Mississippi. Emma Horton served as the Assistant Chief of the Goodman Police Department. On the morning of her death, she visited the home of her brother-in-law, who was also an officer in the same department.
