On a tragic day in August 2020, a young man's life was cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. Fredrick Smith Jr., a 22-year-old male, was fatally shot on August 8, 2020, while on the I-55 North Frontage Road. The incident was the result of a violent encounter that ended with Smith being pronounced dead at the scene. His death was a profound loss to his family and the community. Funeral services were held at Jackson Memorial Funeral Service, and he was laid to rest at Garden Memorial Park.
