In the late hours of a Sunday in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of 29-year-old Marquiez Terrell Scott was tragically cut short. On September 15, 2024, officers responded to a call on the 3100 block of Booker Street, where they discovered Scott with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, marking the city's 84th homicide of the year.
