On September 26, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Picayune, Mississippi, resulting in the deaths of 79-year-old Helen Plaisance and her daughter, 61-year-old Helena Malone. The event took place near the emergency room drop-off at Highland Community Hospital. Malone reportedly called 911, stating she had shot her mother and needed assistance.
