In March of 2023, the body of 23-year-old Kayla Belinda Sedoskey was discovered wrapped in a tarp at the abandoned Boysville Juvenile Facility in Frenchtown Township, Michigan. An autopsy later revealed that the young woman had been shot three times. Sedoskey, a member of the Saginaw Chippewa tribe, was described as a caring person who enjoyed being in nature.
