In the early moments of April 1, 2023, a disturbance call led Harper Woods police to a home on Fleetwood Drive, the residence of the mother of Angelo Donya Lamb's child. Angelo Donya Lamb was a 36-year-old Black man and a father to eleven children. Upon their arrival, officers discovered signs of a violent struggle, but the victim was nowhere to be found. A short time later, Lamb was left at Ascension St. John Hospital, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound, and was pronounced dead.
